Gift of Christ: York Courses: An Ecumenical Course in 5 Sessions

This exhilarating 5-session course, which may be used during Lent or at any time of the year, draws wonderfully on the skills Olivia Amartey learnt as a senior leader in the NHS. This was God's training ground for her and involved 'turning on a sixpence' in the midst of numerous crises. Olivia has much to share about developing flexibility, wisdom and maintaining a sense of fun amidst the topsy-turviness of life, as we embrace the adventure we are on with Christ - as close to us as breathing, and rooting for us all the way. Challenging yet full of hope, the course covers: Session 1: The generosity of God Session 2: Discovering our gift and responding Session 3: Being with Jesus and becoming fruitful Session 4: When things go wrong and ways of staying on track Session 5: It's all good - how God changes everything The course booklet is accompanied by a lively CD/DVD, in which Olivia Amartey and guests from various denominational backgrounds, put forward their thoughts on the themes of the course.
